Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the speech learning plan; (2) the implementation; (3) the existing obstacles; and (4) to describe the teachers solutions to overcome obstacles in the learning of speech by using peer tutoring students of SMP Negeri 1 Sragen Tanon Academic Year 2015/2016.
This research is descriptive qualitative research on learning Indonesia language with speech material in class IXA SMP Negeri 1 Tanon on January 14, 2016 with the key informants teacher and students as research objects. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and document analysis. Development of the validity of the data using triangulation data. Data were analyzed using analysis model interactions that include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on this research can be stated as follows. First, the learning plan speech class IX students made the teachers are in accordance with the references in the curriculum. Second, the implementations of learning speech class IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Sragen Tanon implemented by the method of peer tutoring. Third, there are constraints or barriers to learning speech class IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Tanon Sragen, barriers - such barriers can be divided into two resource constraints, namely: teachers and students. Teachers have difficulties in classroom management and select students as tutors, students were less enthusiastic, students are still difficult to memorize and communicate thoughts and feelings less effective in teaching speech. Fourth, the efforts of teachers to overcome obstacles - barriers to learning speech comes from the teacher is the suitability of learning tools, the ability of teachers to manage the classroom, the teacher - should be able to manage the classroom so that learning can be run with the condition and all the material can be delivered to the fullest. Barriers that comes from students can be overcome by providing motivation for the students interested and not bored, provide tutors to empower students to give each other in effective learning experience
