Peran Program Keterampilan Bagi Remaja Tunarungu dalam Penentuan Karier

Abstract
Kehilangan pendengaran dapat menimbulkan hambatan dalam komunikasi dan interaksi sosial, yang berakibat pada kesulitan dalam pendidikan, karir, dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal ini membuat remaja tunarungu perlu memiliki keterampilan khusus untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut dan mencapai kesuksesan.. Tujuan penelitian ini, menganalisis program keterampilan di SLB Negeri Kotagajah dan bagaimana program tersebut membantu siswa tunarungu dalam menentukan karir. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diambil melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi serta dilakukan validasi dengan teknik analisis data. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, SLB Negeri Kotagajah membekali siswanya dengan 8 program keterampilan (soft skill) untuk masa depan mereka. Program ini membantu siswa tunarungu dalam menentukan karir, membantu mereka mengidentifikasi minat dan bakat mereka, mengembangkan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai karir yang diinginkan. Kesimpulannya, program keterampilan di SLB Negeri Kotagajah merupakan salah satu strategi bimbingan dan konseling yang efektif dalam membantu remaja tunarungu menentukan karir mereka.

Abstract
Hearing loss can create obstacles in communication and social interaction, resulting in difficulties in education, career and daily life. This makes deaf teenagers need to have special skills to overcome these obstacles and achieve success.. The aim of this research is to analyze the skills program at the Kotagajah State Special School and how the program helps deaf students in determining careers. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data was taken through observation, interviews and documentation and validated using data analysis techniques. Next, the data was analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The research results show that Kotagajah State SLB equips its students with 8 soft skills programs for their future.This program assists deaf students in determining careers, helps them identify their interests and talents, develops the skills needed to achieve the desired career. In conclusion,The skills program at the Kotagajah State Special School is one of the effective guidance and counseling strategies in helping deaf teenagers determine their careers.
