STUDY PUSTAKA ASPEK HUKUM PELEPASAN INFORMASI MEDIS PASIEN TERKAIT DENGAN KLAIM ASURANSI DI FASILITAS PELAYANAN RUMAH SAKIT

Abstract

Purpose: The procedure for releasing medical information for insurance claims is known and understood by the parties involved in the process of releasing patient medical information. Methodology: Literature Review research design with a search strategy using the keywords "Legal aspects of releasing patient medical information related to insurance claims". The journal search database is Google Scholar. Literature search according to inclusion criteria and resulted in three full text journals. Result: The flow of implementing the release of medical information for insurance purposes starts from the patient or patient's family who brings a letter or blank requesting the release of medical information to the Administration/ Secretariat Section accompanied by filling out the request form or power of attorney if the applicant is not the patient himself, a photocopy of the details fee or death certificate. A letter requesting the release of information for insurance purposes is placed at the Medical Record Installation for further processing by the Medical Record. Related parties are the Hospital Director, Administrative Officer/Secretariat, Medical Record Officer, Doctor, Patient, Patient's Family. Conclusion: The procedure for issuing medical information for insurance claims for self-insurance needs starts from the patient and the patient's family who bring a letter of request for the release of medical information to the Hospital Administration/Secretariat Section accompanied by filling out a request form or power of attorney if the applicant is not a patient himself, photocopy of details fee or death certificate. A letter requesting the release of information for insurance purposes is placed at the Medical Record Installation for further processing by the Medical Record.
