Rekam medis merupakan dokumen yang berisikan tindakan pasien rawat jalan, rawat inap, dam rawat darurat, dan pelayanan lain yang diberikan kepada pasien. Dengan sistem pengolahan data rekam medis untuk pengkodean penyakit dan tindan, menggunakan huruf dan angka atau kombinasi untuk mewakili komponen data. Kegunaan untuk rekam medis untuk menyimpan berkas pasien yang bisa terintegrasi agar petugas medis dalam melakukan pelayanan medis mudah dan efisiensi waktu. Dalam pemaksimalam diagnosa dan tindakan dokter dapat dengan mudah dibaca oleh petugas dan pemaksimalan kembali proses pengembalian berkas rekam medis ke dalam rak filing agar tidak terpisah-pisah dalam menyusunannya.
