Abstract

This study aims is the application of learning a short story writing by quantum writing method in class VII SMPN 1 Sidoharjo seen from the aspect of planning, implementation, constraints, and solutions to overcome obstacles. To achieve these objectives of this study used qualitative research methods. Technique data were collected, in-depth interviews of informants and dokumentasi. Teknique data analysis performed by classifying and sorting data obtained by the research based on the quality of truth then conclude the results to address issues which exists. The results of this study indicate that the teaching of writing a short story by methods quantum writing class VII SMPN 1 Sidoharjo managed with good views of the (1) Planning the teacher presents a learning tool a well: (2) Implementation, teachers have delivered material short story by using quantum writing the stages are planning, draft-rough, sharing fixing, editing and writing back; (3) The constrains faced by the student are: difficulty determining the theme/topic, difficulty developing an idea/ideas, students pay less attention so as not providing the feedback, it can not matter where that must be done and on repeat, difficulty writing, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and difficulties include the contens and change the edting changes; (4) The solution to overcome obstacles, teachers help students find a theme/topic ideas based on knowledge and experience, teachers help students express writing in the formula ka so the theme/topic of the stories develop through conflict, the teacher asks the student pay attention to the results of the lesson read by his friend so happens frequently asked questions and feedback to help students get feedback, which is needed in doing, and repeat and improve so that teachers help student improve aii error student, grammar, punctuation. The teacher asks the student to discover new contens and change editing, and evaluation results indicate the test before using quantum writing by valuae-average: 70,31. After using quantum writing value-average: 76,25. Thus, learning method quantum writing short stories in class VII SMPN 1 Sidoharjo Sragen, declared a succes .
