PERHITUNGAN PROYEKSI PENDUDUK DAN KONDISI KETENAGAKERJAAN DI KOTA PEKANBARU

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi tentang proyeksi pertumbuhan di masa mendatang dikaitkan dengan kondisi ketenagakerjaan di Kota Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis data sekunder. Data diperoleh dari BPS Kota Pekanbaru, dalam hal ini data sekunder yang digunakan yaitu data kependudukan Kota Pekanbaru tahun 2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan perhitungan terhadap data kependudukan Kota Pekanbaru dan memaparkan hasil perhitungan tersebut sebagai sebuah temuan, dengan menggunakan metode proyeksi eksponensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penduduk Kota Pekanbaru mengalami peningkatan signifikan setiap tahunnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya yaitu tingginya laju migrasi penduduk Kota Pekanbaru baik yang datang dari luar Kota Pekanbaru maupun dari luar Provinsi Riau. Jika ditinjau dari letak geografisnya, Kota Pekanbaru berada pada posisi yang strategis sehingga banyak penduduk dari provinsi sekitar melakukan migrasi ke Kota Pekanbaru. Tentunya hal ini juga ditunjang dengan kemajuan teknonologi informasi, komunikasi dan transportasi serta aksesibilitas yang lancar. Pertumbuhan penduduk pasti akan diiikuti dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk usia kerja. Pertumbuhan penduduk usia kerja ini akan berdampak kepada kondisi ketenagakerjaan. Berdasarkan analisis data kependudukan Kota Pekanbaru diketahui tingkat pengangguran paling tinggi adalah dari jenjang pendidikan SMA, yaitu sebesar 14.721 jiwa, dan peringkat kedua diikuti oleh tamatan S1 yaitu sebesar 9.577 jiwa. Dari data tersebut diketahui bahwa angka pengangguran didominasi oleh pengangguran terdidik.

Open Data and Software Publishing and Sharing
The journal strives to maximize the replicability of the research published in it. Authors are thus required to share all data, code or protocols underlying the research reported in their articles.
