Utilization of School Food Waste into Liquid Organic Fertilizer at SMK N 2 Sukoharjo

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out with the aim of providing an introduction to the use of food waste in the school environment to increase student knowledge through training in making liquid organic fertilizer (POC) at SMK N 2 Sukoharjo. The existing activity method was carried out by holding counseling or socialization, and training. This community service activity was attended by 81 students at SMK N 2 Sukoharjo. Participants were given material as the first stage of counseling or socialization, then continued with the second stage, namely, training in practical calcium fertilizer making. The administration of a questionnaire to improve student abilities was carried out to measure the increase in students' understanding of making liquid fertilizer (POC). The results obtained showed an increase in student understanding of 34.13%.
