Pengelolaan Sampah melalui Pelatihan Bank Sampah: Langkah Awal menuju Desa Bersih
Abstrak
This activity aims to initiate the establishment of a Waste Bank in Juwiring Village through managerial and
technical training to reduce waste volume at source and encourage sustainable waste management
practices. The Waste Bank is seen as a social and economic innovation that encourages active community
participation in waste sorting and management. The training involved 25 Juwiring Village residents,
including representatives from village officials, the Youth Organization (Karang Taruna), the Family
Welfare Movement (PKK), and the Women's Farmers Group (KWT), and was guided by Indriyani Susilowati
(Manager of the Bumdesa Mata Bangsa Waste Bank). The training focused on three main pillars: 1)
Program Management (planning, organizing, and overseeing Waste Bank operations); 2) Financial
Accountability, strengthened through a simulated registration fee (part of which is refunded) to increase
commitment, as well as a strict deposit and weighing system; and 3) Incentives and Partnerships in the
form of savings balances, annual interest, and non-cash prizes. The involvement of the Youth Organization
(Karang Taruna), the Family Welfare Movement (PKK), and the Women's Farmers Group (KWT) was
designed as a collaborative strategy to ensure operational support and sorting at the
household level.
