THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS' COGNITIVISTIC LEARNING POTENTIAL

The aims of this research are 1) to describe the role of teachers in developing students' cognitive learning potential and 2) to describe the benefits of teachers in developing students' cognitive learning potential. This writing was carried out through literature study. The research results show that 1) the way an educator/teacher develops students' reasoning/thinking/cognitive potential is through concrete learning media, using language that is easy for students to understand when giving explanations to students, and encouraging students to interact with each other to explore ideas/opinions/ ideas in class. 2) The benefits that educators can obtain when developing cognitive learning theories for students are that teachers are better prepared with innovative, creative learning tools from learning media, teachers better understand each student has their own cognitive development, and teachers and students respect each other's ideas. to create meaningful learning.
