Author Guidlines

If you are interested to submit an article, please read the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines

  • The topics of the articles may cover various dimensions of education, such as curriculum, teaching and learning, evaluation, management, education quality, and the utilization of technology in education, at various levels of education and involving various modes of learning delivery.
  • The manuscript has never been published in other journals and is not under review by any other journal.
  • The manuscript should be typed in single-spaced, single colom, A4, using the typeface Cambria.

Interested authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting.  If already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process. Submit articles using the Journal system by uploading the article via a submission window in the website. Follow the steps and provide the information requested by the system. 

Article manuscripts must meet the following conditions:

  • Title: Use at most 14 words to describe the the main issue of the article, written in English
  • Author information: Under the title, write the name of the author, the e-mail address of the author(s) and the corresponding author,  and the institution of the author(s). 
  • Abstract: An abstract is written in one paragraph consisting of 150–250 words.
  • Keywords: Use key words, about 3 to 5 words, that constitute the main concepts of the research. 

The contents of the manuscript follow a standard structure as follows: 

The introduction should be concise and detailed. The introduction should have a minimum of five elements, specifically addressing research-related challenges at both international and national levels. Ensure sources are relevant to the subject, and refrain from presenting information without an apparent source. Also, examine how researchers have responded to the issue. Seek an expert perspective to enhance the researcher's case and explore the connection between previous research and the issues. Where does the discrepancy lie between the current research and past studies? Previous research results must be pertinent to the research issue, the uniqueness or gap in the research should be backed by relevant theories and primary sources, and the study's focus must be clearly defined. Researchers should descriptively articulate the purpose or research challenge in the introduction's final paragraph without utilizing bullet points or numbers.

Research Methods must be detailed enough to enable others to reproduce and expand upon the findings presented. This section details the research strategy, rationale, processes, population, samples, research tools, data gathering methodologies, and data analysis methods. The description must be written in the past tense. 

The results are presented clearly and comprehensively. Research findings might be presented according to the study's progress, addressing specific problem formulations, or using any other relevant approach that highlights the research outcomes. Research conclusions must be supported by empirical evidence. Subheadings may be used to split this section. The document should offer a brief and accurate summary of the experimental findings, their analysis, and the resulting conclusions. 

Discussion part, the authors should analyze the results of past studies and the working hypotheses without duplicating the explanation provided in the results section. The findings and their consequences should be discussed in a comprehensive context. It also indicates potential areas for future research. The discussion should include references to earlier research concepts or findings to determine if the current research results align with or conflict with them. Furthermore, it is essential to consider the originality of the research findings about prior studies in this discussion. 

Conclusion part, the writers must describe the solution to the problem or research question posed in the conclusion. Authors should avoid redundant explanations of sentences from the preceding section. The authors must summarize the article's material concerning the answers to the problem or research topic. Furthermore, the authors should clearly outline the significance and constraints of this work. This section is written descriptively without using numbering or bullet points. 

References. We suggest using bibliography software like Mendeley, EndNote, ReferenceManager, or Zotero to prevent typing errors and duplicate references when generating your references. Provide the digital object identifier (DOI) for all references wherever possible. Arrange the reference list entries alphabetically based on the author's name. All citations must be included within the article's main text, and vice versa. The source mentioned in the article must be included in the reference section. At least 20 references are required, with a minimum of 80% being journal papers and the remaining from other sources. References should be current within the last five years, except essential foundational theories necessary for producing articles. Authors are required to include all references used in the Open Journal System (OJS) Jurnal Elemen when submitting papers. Writing references and citations according to the guidelines of APA Style, 7th edition.

For manuscript of conceptual analysis based on critical literature review, the systematic will follow the logic of the presentation of the substance.

Article Evaluation Procees

* Submitted manuscripts considered potential for publication in terms of substance and methods will be checked using Turnitin for similarity index. If the similarity index is less than 20% editor will accept the submission and assign reviewers.

* An article will be reviewed by two reviewers (double-blind review) appointed by the editor.  Authors will have the opportunity to make corrections (revisions) of papers based on recommendations / suggestions from the reviewers and editors. Notification of acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be sent to author by the email system.

* Final judgment of the manuscripts for publication will be decided by Chief Editor/Editors. Published articles can be retreaved by the editors if later they are found to have problems.

* Author is responsible for everything related to licensing the citation or use of computer software for making manuscripts or other matters relating to intellectual property rights, including the legal consequences that may arise.
