Abstract
This research aims to describe the efforts made and the difficulties faced by parents to shape the character of children. Data collection uses observation and interviews. Data was analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The results of this research are that the role of parents in shaping children's character at home is very important, it was found that parents play a role in both academic and non-academic activities. Parents with strata education only have time for academic activities. Parents with lower levels of education have more time for academic and non-academic activities
