Abstract

Ungkapan Jawa warisan leluhur seperti Aja Dumeh mengandung nasehat bijak yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ajar untuk Pendidikan Karakter Bangsa. Tulisan ini disajikan guna memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana cara menggali hakekat makna dari sebuah ungkapan Jawa, yaitu dengan dasar pemikiran filsafat dan sosiologi interpretasi. Setelah dilakukan pembahasan dengan pertimbangan nalar yang mapan akhirnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa Makna Hakiki Aja Dumeh adalah Prasaja atau Bersahaja.

 

Kata-kata kunci: aja dumeh, karakter, dan prasaja.
