PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TGT PADA SISWA KELAS VIII D SMP NEGERI 2 SUKOHARJO SEMESTER I TAHUN PELAJARAN 2017/ 2018

Penelitian ini merupakan upaya untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan prestasi belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT).Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Peenelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang meliputi perencanaan, tindakan ,observasi dan refleksi. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah prestasi belajar IPA siswa melalui model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif komparatif dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar IPA siswa, nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar IPA siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebelum tindakan sebesar 68,2 pada siklus I sebesar 78,3 dan pada siklus II sebesar 82,5. Selain itu, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa juga meningkat, yaitu sebelum tindakan sebesar 50%, siklus I sebesar 75% dan siklus II sebesar 93,75%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Model pembelajaran kooperatif TGT dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII D semester I SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2017/ 2018”.Kata-kata kunci: prestasi IPA, model pembelajaran kooperatif TGT
