Abstract

Bunga edible (yang dapat dimakan) memiliki aroma yang eksotis, rasa yang unik dan non toksik. Review ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kandungan antioksidan yang terdapat pada berbagai bunga edible di Indonesia dan manfaatnya untuk kesehatan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada review ini berdasarkan tinjauan literatur. Data diperoleh melaui artikel ilmiah pada jurnal nasional maupun  internasional serta sumber lain seperti tesis. Bunga edible di Indonesia diantaranya bunga telang, kecombrang, jotang, sepatu, kenanga, krisan, rosella, mawar dan turi. Kandungan antioksidan pada beberapa bunga edible di Indonesia diantaranya senyawa fenolik, antosianin, flavonoid dan karotenoid. Kandungan antioksidan tersebut berkontribusi terhadap sifat antidiabetes dan antikanker
