Training on Village History Digitalisation: Cultural Preservation and Strengthening Love for the Homeland for the Community of Cangaan Village, Kanor Subdistrict, Bojonegoro Regency

Abstract

This community service program aims to overcome the threat of cultural decline and generational gap in accessing local history in Cangaan Village, Bojonegoro Regency. This initiative focuses on digitizing the village's historical and cultural heritage through community empowerment and digital literacy training. The methods used include Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to map assets, intensive training on documentation techniques, content creation, and digital archiving, followed by practical application in building digital repositories. Partners in this activity are the Cangaan Village Government and local youth organizations, which are actively involved in data collection and content management. The success of the program was measured through a significant increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test results, indicating an improvement in digital understanding and skills among participants. In addition, the program's output includes concrete digital products such as e-books, articles, short documentary videos, and structured digital archives. These results show that these digitalization efforts effectively preserve cultural assets, strengthen local identity and love for the homeland, and increase the digital literacy of the community. The project ensures short-term sustainability through knowledge transfer to youth and long-term sustainability by integrating digital content into local education and tourism promotion.
