Focus and Scope

Kawruh: Journal of Language Education, Literature and Local Culture is a scientific forum dedicated to publishing innovative research in the fields of language education, literature, and local culture. The journal presents a variety of studies relevant to curriculum development, learning, and teaching language and literature in the context of local culture. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:
1. Language learning: Development of language learning methods and media, language learning for diverse learners, digital literacy in language learning.
2. Literature teaching: Analysis of local literary works, teaching literature with relevant approaches, literature as a medium for cultural learning.
3. Cultural preservation: The role of language and literature in the preservation of local culture, revitalization of local languages, and development of cultural resources.
4. Curriculum and policy: Local culture-oriented language and literature curriculum development, language and literature education policy, and learning program evaluation.

The aim of the journal is to publish quality research that has the potential to inform further research, educational policy and practice, in any research context or paradigm. Therefore, submitted manuscripts should have the following characteristics:
1. A strong theoretical framework.
2. A clear understanding of how the literature critically relates to the topic under study.
3. Strong research design and analysis.
4. Critical analysis and recommendations for further research, policy and practice.
