PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR BAHASA INGGRIS MELALUI METODE PEMBELARAN EVERYONE IS A TEACHER HERE BAGI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIIIE

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris melalui metode pembelajaran Everyone Is A Teacher Here pada peserta didik kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 4 Sukoharjo Semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Desember 2016 di SMP Negeri 4 Sukoharjo. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII E sebanyak 30. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi, dan tes tertulis. Alat pengumpulan data berupa lembar pengamatan, butir soal tes, dan dokumen daftar nilai. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif komparatif yang dilanjutkan refleksi. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat langkah, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan Tindakan, (3) pengamatan, dan (4) Refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris peserta didik. Nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris peserta didik mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebelum tindakan sebesar 57,67, pada siklus I sebesar 65,17 dan pada siklus II sebesar 72,67. Selain itu, persentase ketuntasan belajar peserta didik juga meningkat, yaitu sebelum tindakan sebesar 33,33%, siklus I sebesar 43,33% dan siklus II sebesar 76,67%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Metode pembelajaran Everyone Ia a Teacher Here dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris peserta didik kelas VIII E Semester 1 SMP Negeri 4 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.
