KECEMASAN SOSIAL PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS INDONESIA DAN KOREA SELATAN

Gangguan kecemasan sosial merupakan masalah kesehatan mental yang signifikan yang memengaruhi kinerja akademik dan penyesuaian sosial mahasiswa di seluruh dunia. Studi perbandingan ini menganalisis perbedaan prevalensi, tingkat keparahan, dan faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap gangguan kecemasan sosial antara mahasiswa Indonesia dan Korea Selatan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan komparatif kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dari 400 mahasiswa sarjana (200 dari masing-masing negara) melalui Skala Kecemasan Interaksi Sosial (SIAS). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Korea Selatan memiliki tingkat kecemasan sosial yang secara signifikan lebih tinggi (M=42,3, SD=10,2) dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa Indonesia (M=34,7, SD=11,8; t=7,12, p<0,001, d=0,71). Perbedaan gender lebih menonjol di Korea Selatan, di mana mahasiswa perempuan melaporkan tingkat kecemasan yang secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki (p=.03), sementara mahasiswa Indonesia tidak menunjukkan perbedaan gender yang signifikan (p=.08). Tekanan akademik menunjukkan korelasi yang lebih kuat dengan kecemasan sosial di Korea Selatan (r=.49, p<.001) dibandingkan di Indonesia (r=.32, p=.01). Temuan ini menyoroti kebutuhan mendesak akan intervensi kesehatan mental yang ditargetkan dan reformasi kebijakan pendidikan, termasuk layanan konseling yang sensitif secara budaya, program manajemen stres, dan lingkungan akademik yang mendukung di kedua negara.
