Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using rotating wheel media on students' creative thinking abilities between class V.A as the control class and class V.B as the experimental class which uses rotating wheel media at SDN 186 Palembang in class V Indonesian language lessons at SDN 186 Palembang. This research used a True Experimental Design treatment design with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The research population was all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 186 Palembang, totaling 99 students for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The validity of the test instrument was tested using the Product Moment Person correlation formula and to determine its reliability it was tested using the Cronbach's Alpha method. The data analysis technique uses the t test (Paired Sample T-Test) showing that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The hypothesis results of students' creative thinking abilities show tcount 6.807 > ttable 1.675, so it can be said to reject Ho and accept Ha, whose normality and homogeneity were previously known. The research results of the experimental group obtained an average score of 78.73 and the control group obtained an average posttest score of 50.15, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on students' creative thinking abilities in class V Indonesian language learning on advertising materials at SDN 186 Palembang in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
