Inhibiting and Supporting Factors Communication between Teachers and Students with Deafness

Abstract

Communication is a necessity. Everyone wants communication to run smoothly and without being hampered. However, communication barriers are always there. Including the communication process carried out by deaf students. This study aims to see what are the inhibiting and supporting factors of communication between teachers and deaf students in the SLBN of Sungai Penuh City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results showed that the inhibiting factors found were physical and sematic barriers. While the supporting factors are clarity, accuracy, context and culture.
