Pembelajaran Kosa Kata Bahasa Inggris dengan Media Cerita Rakyat bagi Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah agar penggunaan cerita rakyat dapat digunakan siswa untuk menguasai kosa kata dan memotivasi mereka untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas V SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan buku cerita rakyat dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa dapat berhasil dan mampu meningkatkan penguasaan kosa kata siswa. Selain itu, kendala pada siswa seperti malu, canggung, gugup dan takut juga berangsur-angsur berkurang saat pembelajaran kosakata berlangsung. Nilai siswa juga mengalami kemajuan dari siklus satu ke siklus dua. Nilai rata-rata pretes adalah 65,58, nilai rata-rata posttes adalah 70,29 dan nilai rata-rata posttes kedua adalah 78,38.
